What does a wedding at the Reichshof have to do with a Kaiser Wilhelm apple tree in the Lütetsburg castle park? The keyword is “Party-Work-Nature-Balance”!
At events, regardless of their type, nature is put to a tough test – for example, through the arrival of event guests or the resulting resource consumption. This is of course also true for us at the Reichshof. But we asked ourselves whether we could intervene and take action here. The result is our “Party-Work-Nature-Balance”.
Since 2022, sustainable celebrations have been possible with us, as we offset the burdens incurred. For each guest, we donate a previously determined amount to social and sustainable projects, preferably in East Frisia. Last year, a proud sum was raised, which we have already partially allocated to projects in recent weeks.
We chose the Lütetsburg castle park (approx. €1,500) – and among other things, took over the 25-year tree sponsorship for a Kaiser Wilhelm apple tree. In addition, we support local species protection (insect hotel) and have decided on further tree sponsorships and tree plantings. The official handover of the certificates took place yesterday in front of “our” apple tree by Stefan Olbrich (Lütetsburg castle park, left in the picture).
Another project that we support as part of our Party-Work-Nature-Balance 2022 with approx. €1,500 is the sustainable magic show “Environmental Magic” for kindergartens in the Aurich district by Perpetuum Mobility e.V.. The magician Tim Jantzen conveys topics such as recycling, waste avoidance, and resource conservation with his child-friendly magic program.
We are currently in exchange with further projects to allocate the remaining sum of our “Party-Work-Nature-Balance” 2022. All information on this topic can be found here: https://www.reichshof-norden.de/nachhaltigesfeiern
